About GOrefund
Helping GO Transit commuters claim the refunds they are eligible for.
GO Transit offers a Service Guarantee: if your train arrives 15 or more minutes late, you may be eligible for a full fare refund. The problem is that most commuters never check, and the ones who do have to manually look up every trip on the Metrolinx website.
GOrefund was built to fix that. You tell us your commute once — stations, departure times, and which days you travel — and we do the rest. Every day, we automatically check your trips and notify you by email whenever a trip qualifies for a refund.
How it works
After you sign up and add your recurring trips, GOrefund monitors each one against the Metrolinx service guarantee data. When a delay of 15 minutes or more is detected, we send you an email with the details so you can submit your refund request to Metrolinx right away.
You can also use GOrefund for one-time trips. Took an unscheduled train? Search any route and date to check if that trip qualifies too.
Who is this for?
GOrefund is for anyone who rides GO Transit trains regularly and who want to make sure they're not leaving money on the table. If you take GO Transit more than a few times a month, there's a good chance you have missed refunds you were entitled to.
What does it cost?
GOrefund is $1.99 per month. That's less than the cost of a single GO fare and one eligible refund more than pays for itself.
About the Service Guarantee
The GO Transit Service Guarantee applies to train trips that arrive 15 or more minutes behind schedule. Eligible riders can request a refund of their fare through Metrolinx. GOrefund is not affiliated with Metrolinx or GO Transit. We simply make it easier to know when you may be eligible for a refund.
